A Desert Camp in Jaisalmer Born from a Love for Travel
Venture Desert Camp began with a simple idea to create the kind of place the founder would personally love to discover and reside in while travelling.
Story behind Venture Desert Camp
Natwar Khatri founded Venture Desert Camp in 2023 after more than a decade in hospitality. He began working in the industry in 2012 and, as an avid traveller himself, spent years understanding what it takes to host well and what guests value when they are away from home.
That experience shaped Venture Desert Camp. His idea was not simply to open another camp near Sam Sand Dunes, but to create a place where travellers could arrive, settle in and experience Jaisalmer without fuss. Comfortable Swiss tents, fresh meals, desert safaris, cultural evenings and local tours all became part of that vision.
For Natwar, hospitality has always been personal. Venture continues with the same purpose today, to welcome fellow travellers, help them discover the desert at their own pace and make their time in Jaisalmer feel easy, comfortable and worth remembering.
